My short story “Yungas Road” appears in the anthology Knit Lit, published by Three Rivers Press, a division of Random House.
My review articles on The Gettysburg Review and Fiction International can be found in the journal Literary Magazine Review. My work also appears in Clio, a journal of literature, history, and the philosophy of history.
“Playing Schubert in La Paz” is a poem I wrote for the anthology A Peace of the Valley, which is part of the Epidemic Peace Imagery Project, an expanding exhibition of poetry and visual art promoting peace.
For five years, I co-directed a community film series each spring for the Indianhead Federated Library System in Wisconsin. Recently, we screened and discussed a selection of short films, including ghost stories from Masaki Kobayashi’s Kwaidan, experimental work by Maya Deren, Yuri Norstein’s “Tale of Tales,” and the classic surrealist film “Un Chien Andalou.”
